HRD Corp e-LATiH Content Creation Competition

e-LATiH is HRD Corp’s premier online learning platform that is available to all Malaysians for free. Launched in February this year, it was developed to help Malaysians whose employment has been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak to learn new skills or improve existing ones in order to boost their employment prospects.

Through HRD Corp’s collaboration with Go1, one of the largest e-learning aggregators in the world, e-LATiH offers close to 400 courses, covering key skillset areas such as Personal Development, Project Management, Leadership, Marketing & Innovation, Programming, Digitalisation, Financial Skills, Languages, Communications and more.

The e-LATiH Content Creation Competition is part of HRD Corp’s effort to offer more diverse, dynamic,and high-quality courses on the platform in the future. Participants are encouraged to submit entries in any skills development area that are fun, creative, engaging and easy to follow. These skills development content must be taught either in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin or Tamil. Winning entries will be featured on e-LATiH for the benefit of all Malaysians.

Eligibility
  • Open to all Malaysian citizens aged 18 years old and above who have pedagogical or instructional design skills with experience in teaching or conducting training. E.g.: teachers/ lecturers/ trainers*
  • Entries can be submitted as an individual or group submission. However, only one (1) submission per individual or group is allowed.

  • *Participants must provide evidence of professional certification or credentials at the time of submission.

Category 2: General

Eligibility
  • Open to all Malaysian citizens aged 18 years old and above who have an interest in developing e-learning content and learning materials in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin or Tamil.
  • Entries can be submitted as an individual or group submission. However, only one (1) submission per individual or group is allowed.

The competition is open to all Malaysians, EXCEPT HRD Corp's employees and their family members, as well as employees and the family members of HRD Corp's affiliates and sponsors

CONTENT REQUIREMENTS

Title

The title should convey the course’s content, what learners can expect and fit into the competition’s overall objective. ​

Content

Content should be relevant, up-to-date, and appropriate for the intended audience and does not violate the terms and conditions of the competition. The content has to be original and cannot be extracted from any other platform. Please make sure that the courses are complete and are not just previews.

Content Duration

  • The course must be a minimum of one (1) hour. The total course duration must cover the sum of all modules and learning materials.
  • Text duration: The estimated text duration is approximately 200 words per minute, or 2 minutes per page
  • Quiz duration: The estimated duration for a quiz will be dependent on your discretion. Please provide the estimated duration in your submission.

Delivery Language

The primary delivery language or medium should be Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin or Tamil. The use of multiple languages within one video is not allowed.

Course Structure​

The course structure is referring to the arrangement of the content in the course. If you have more than 1 learning materials, kindly name the learning materials accordingly. For more information, kindly refer to the competition Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Content Outcome

All submissions must be developed with the following outcomes in mind:
  • Any topic that may help the audience to upskill and reskill.
  • Industry based e-learning courses that are intended to help the audience develop their understanding of the industry.
  • Any topic that may help the audience gain information related to a specific knowledge.
  • Any subject that can have a positive learning outcome for the audience.
  • Any other outcomes that are deemed relevant and aligned with the objective of the competition.

Material Format

Participants may include several different types of learning materials in their submission such as a self-paced online learning video, assessment or quiz, and notes or supplementary learning materials. Please adhere to the following requirements for all submissions.

1. Video

  • Video is the primary learning material.
  • Please submit your videos in an MP4 format. There is no maximum size requirement.

2. Assessment or Quiz

  • Assessment can be in the form of multiple choice, matching or fill in the blank.

3. Notes or Supplementary Learning Materials

  • These materials can be in the following formats; doc, docx, dotx, pdf, pot, potm, potx, pps, ppsm, ppt, pptm, pptx, rtf, xls, xlsx. The maximum file size for these materials must not exceed 20 MB.

  • Description of the content (A short overview of your course)
  • Learning outcome (Min. 2)
  • Course structure / arrangement
  • Course duration
  • Course level
  • Intended audience
  • Delivery language (Bahasa Melayu/Mandarin/Tamil)

Submission Instructions

  • Submission will be open from 11 October 2021 until
    10 November 2021, 5:30PM.
  • Please compile and upload all your content in one shareable drive. (E.g.: Google Drive, OneDrive, etc).
  • Submission of the content can be done by clicking the "Submit Content Here" button below.
  • Please ensure that you fill in all the information in the form.
  • Content submitted are considered final and cannot be amended or edited.
