Dr. Deven Krishnan has over 16 years of training and consulting experience. Dr. Deven’s training encompasses oil market & refinery economics, business strategy, planning & development and organizational performance. His consultancy projects expertise includes strategy development, refinery feasibility studies, refined product and petrochemical market studies, petroleum trade and shipping studies.
He is an adjunct lecturer at University Technology Petronas. He was an Associate Director/Principal Consultant with IHS Markit for 5 years. Deven was employed by Phillips66/Conoco Phillips in Malaysia for about 8 years and worked in the technical services, operations, economics and planning of the refinery. He was seconded to Malaysia Refining Company (JV between Petronas and Phillips 66) in Melaka, Malaysia, for 5 years. He started his career as a Process Engineer with Palm Oleo, a company of the KLK group in Malaysia.
Dr. Deven holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the International Islamic University Malaysia, a Master’s in Integrated Process Plant Management from the University Technology Malaysia, and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University Science Malaysia.
