Course Description

The Food Handling and Hygiene e-module is specially designed for employers and employees in the food business. It is a fun and engaging e-course that highlights proper food handling practices that are in line with the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009.

The module defines the roles and responsibilities of food handlers, focusing on the importance of personal hygiene. The module also discusses proper food handling practices in four key areas, such as food preparation, food equipment and appliances, food packaging and food storage.

Food Handling and Hygiene consists of two interactive modules:

  • Module 1 – Roles and Responsibilities of Food Handlers
  • Module 2 – Proper Food Handling Practices

Food Handling and Hygiene is highly interactive with engaging exercises and quizzes to reinforce learner's understanding of the materials taught.

At the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • discuss proper food handling practices in accordance with food safety laws
