Course Description


If you are going to visit Russia and don’t speak Russian fluently, this course is for you. You will not only learn the basic grammar of the Russian language, but also get acquainted with the real situations that you will certainly face in Russia. 

This course will help you maintain a dialogue in Russian, get necessary information you need, learn how to communicate in daily life situations and solve everyday problems. There is a variety of learning activities that will help you memorize new words and use grammar patterns of the Russian language. 

This course will be best for learners at beginner and low-intermediate who intend to improve their oral communication skills (A2+). 

The course is divided into five modules: 
1. Welcome to Russia 
2. Extending visa and migration registration 
3. We are students 
4. Daily problems 
5. Day after day 

Every module introduces 
• videos and speech models as well as tasks to practice them, 
• short video lectures to provide grammar structures, 
• interesting texts to read and get useful information about Russians, Russia and life in the country.  
We all know that learning the language means understanding the culture of Russia, Russian mentality and lifestyle. 

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will: 
1. study the vocabulary and grammatical patterns corresponding to A2+, 
2. develop language and speech skills necessary in everyday real-life scenarios, 
3. get to know some of the socio-cultural aspects of life in Russia.
