These days it is easy to google and find an article or Instagram posting about the importance of self-care. But what does self-care really mean? What does it mean to care for ourselves in a holistic way where our needs can be met authentically? How can the lack of self-care sabotage the best of our performance? When we spend most of our time taking care of other people, it’s important to take care of ourselves, to understand what we need and find the time to invest back in ourselves.
We also know care needs to go beyond the self. We are all a part of communities and workplaces and in order for us to fully experience wholeness, we have to take care of each other too.
