Course Description

Deaf culture is the set of social beliefs, behaviors, art, literary traditions, history, values, and shared institutions of communities that are influenced by deafness and which use sign languages as the main means of communication. This course aims to create awareness among the members of the public for the need to understand and appreciate the deaf community, in order to help them to assimilate easily with members of the public.
